PROMISE is designed to continue for at least 20 years (five years of accrual and 15+ years of follow-up), a period long enough to anticipate the emergence of trials that test pathogenic variants targeted treatments in biochemically recurrent prostate cancer patients and even earlier in the natural history of the disease.
